Pemuda Asal Brebes Terseret Ombak Saat Bermain Air di Pantai Pecaron dan Hilang
Korban Bermain di Tepi Pantai Sebelum Ombak Menyeret Tubuhnya
Kecelakaan laut kembali terjadi di pesisir selatan Kabupaten Kebumen ketika seorang pemuda asal Brebes hilang terseret ombak di Pantai Pecaron, Desa Srati, Kecamatan Ayah. Peristiwa ini terjadi pada Senin, 23 Maret 2026 sekitar pukul 17.02 WIB saat korban tengah beraktivitas di area pantai.
Korban diketahui bernama Tasdik Susendi (21), seorang buruh harian lepas yang tinggal di Dukuh Limbangan, Desa Buara, Kecamatan Ketanggungan, Kabupaten Brebes. Saat kejadian, ia bermain air di tepi pantai bersama sejumlah rekannya sebelum akhirnya terseret arus laut.
Ombak Besar Menarik Korban hingga Menghilang dari Permukaan
Humas BPBD Kabupaten Kebumen, Heri Purwoto, menjelaskan bahwa ombak di kawasan tersebut cukup kuat dan berbahaya. Ketika korban berada di tepian air, arus laut secara tiba-tiba menarik tubuhnya ke tengah.
Peristiwa tersebut berlangsung cepat sehingga rekan-rekan korban tidak sempat memberikan pertolongan. Setelah terseret ombak, korban langsung menghilang dari permukaan laut dan belum ditemukan hingga saat ini.
Tim SAR Menggelar Pencarian di Sepanjang Pantai dan Perairan
Menanggapi kejadian ini, tim SAR gabungan yang terdiri dari BPBD, relawan, dan unsur terkait langsung bergerak ke lokasi. Petugas melakukan penyisiran di sepanjang garis pantai serta perairan di sekitar titik kejadian untuk mencari korban.
Namun hingga Senin malam, upaya pencarian belum membuahkan hasil. Kondisi gelombang tinggi dan keterbatasan jarak pandang menjadi kendala utama dalam proses pencarian.
BPBD Mengingatkan Bahaya Arus Balik di Pantai Selatan
Pantai Pecaron dikenal memiliki karakter ombak besar khas pesisir selatan Jawa yang menyimpan risiko tinggi bagi wisatawan. Meski terlihat tenang di permukaan, arus balik atau rip current di kawasan ini sering kali menjadi penyebab kecelakaan laut.
Karena itu, BPBD Kabupaten Kebumen mengimbau pengunjung untuk tidak bermain terlalu jauh ke tengah dan selalu memperhatikan kondisi sekitar. Petugas juga meminta wisatawan mengutamakan keselamatan selama berada di kawasan pantai.
Sementara itu, tim SAR berencana memperluas area pencarian dengan mempertimbangkan arah arus laut serta kondisi cuaca guna meningkatkan peluang menemukan korban.
