Truk kehilangan kendali akibat rem blong dan menabrak empat kendaraan: truk boks B 9818 KXU, truk ekspedisi BG 8515 KI, mobil Suzuki Carry AA 1478 SK, dan mobil Suzuki Carry boks H 9259 FK. Pengemudi Suzuki Carry AA 1478 SK terjepit di dalam kabin akibat benturan keras.
Penanganan Korban
Tim SAR gabungan Basarnas Unit Siaga Borobudur dan Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Kabupaten Magelang mengevakuasi pengemudi yang terjepit. Petugas membawa korban ke Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Tidar Kota Magelang untuk mendapatkan perawatan medis. Dua orang lainnya mengalami luka ringan, dan petugas segera memberikan pertolongan. Warga dan petugas membersihkan lokasi agar kendaraan lain bisa melintas.
Dampak Lalu Lintas
Kecelakaan beruntun membuat arus dari Magelang menuju Yogyakarta macet hingga dua kilometer. Petugas kepolisian, tim SAR, dan dinas perhubungan segera menyingkirkan kendaraan yang terlibat untuk mengurai kemacetan. Petugas memindahkan kendaraan ke tepi jalan sehingga arus lalu lintas kembali lancar sekitar pukul 19.00 WIB. Warga menyebut truk melaju terlalu cepat sebelum rem blong terjadi.
Kepala Unit Gakkum Satlantas Polresta Magelang, Ipda Ricky S. Hartono, meminta pengendara selalu memeriksa kondisi kendaraan, terutama sistem pengereman. Pengendara harus tetap waspada dan menjaga jarak aman, terutama saat hujan atau jalan licin. Warga diimbau melaporkan kondisi jalan atau kendaraan bermasalah agar pihak berwenang dapat segera mengambil tindakan.
Kecelakaan ini menekankan pentingnya menjaga keselamatan setiap pengendara dan memastikan kendaraan selalu dalam kondisi prima sebelum berkendara.
