Insiden terjadi di kilometer 12 arah Bangkinang menuju Pekanbaru sekitar pukul 13.40 WIB. Mobil berpelat A 1134 EF dikemudikan oleh H, mahasiswa berusia 23 tahun. Ia membawa tiga penumpang lain dalam perjalanan tersebut.
Kronologi Kecelakaan
Kendaraan melaju cukup cepat meski jalan licin. Saat hujan semakin deras, pengemudi kehilangan kendali. Ban mobil tergelincir dan menabrak pembatas jalan. Benturan keras membuat mobil naik ke atas pembatas sebelum akhirnya terbalik di badan jalan. Posisi kendaraan ringsek dengan bagian depan rusak parah. Warga sekitar segera menghentikan laju kendaraan lain dan membantu evakuasi.
Petugas tol datang beberapa menit kemudian. Mereka mengevakuasi mobil menggunakan derek dan membersihkan puing dari jalur tol. Polisi lalu melakukan olah tempat kejadian untuk mengetahui penyebab pasti kecelakaan. Lalu lintas sempat tersendat sekitar 30 menit sebelum akhirnya kembali normal.
Empat Penumpang Terluka
Insiden itu melukai empat orang di dalam mobil. H, sang pengemudi, mengalami luka di kepala dan bahu. Penumpang bernama Rusdi (47 tahun) mengalami luka cukup berat di bagian kaki. Dua penumpang lain, Zulkhaizar (48 tahun) dan Luthfi Mul Hakim (23 tahun), menderita luka ringan di tangan dan wajah. Petugas segera membawa mereka ke rumah sakit terdekat untuk mendapat perawatan.
Keluarga korban mengaku lega setelah mengetahui seluruh penumpang selamat. Meski begitu, kondisi kendaraan rusak berat dan tidak bisa digunakan kembali. Salah satu korban menuturkan bahwa hujan deras membuat jarak pandang sangat terbatas. Ia juga mengingatkan pengemudi lain agar lebih berhati-hati saat melintas di jalur tol ketika cuaca buruk.
Imbauan Polisi dan Faktor Cuaca
Direktur Lalu Lintas Polda Riau, Kombes Taufiq Lukman, menegaskan bahwa kecepatan tinggi saat hujan sangat berisiko. Ia menjelaskan bahwa ban mobil sulit mencengkeram jalan licin. Situasi itu membuat kendaraan mudah tergelincir. Polisi mengingatkan setiap pengemudi agar menyesuaikan kecepatan dengan kondisi jalan dan menjaga jarak aman.
Selain itu, ia mengimbau masyarakat memeriksa tekanan ban, sistem pengereman, serta wiper sebelum bepergian jauh. Jalan tol yang basah memerlukan kewaspadaan ekstra, terutama pada jalur lurus panjang yang sering membuat pengemudi terlena. “Keselamatan harus menjadi prioritas utama, bukan kecepatan,” ujar Kombes Taufiq.
